Oct 2 Depart from USA for flight to Lourdes, France.  Dinner and breakfast served on flight.
Oct 3

Arrive in Lourdes where we will be met by our tour guide and escorted to our hotel for check-in.

Oct 5 

We will have two full days in Lourdes.  You will have time to visit the baths, attend Holy Mass, see

the Via Crucis and take part in the Eucharistic evening candlelight procession.  We will also visit the house where St. Bernadette lived.  Dinner and overnight in Lourdes 

Oct 6

 

Our next destination is the Abby of Montserrat.  According to Catholic tradition, the statue of the Black Virgin of Montserrat was carved by St. Luke around 50 AD and brought to Spain. Since the 12th century, pilgrims have been drawn to the mountain to venerate the miraculous statue of the Black Madonna (La Moreneta).  After our visit we will travel to our hotel near Barcelona.  Dinner and overnight.

Oct 8

Today we will have a short tour of the city and a chance to see Sagrada Familia. Construction on this church, Antoni Gaudí's unfinished masterpiece, began in 1884 and will continue for at least another decade.  We will also see Barcelona Cathedral.  In the evening we will take a ferry to Italy arriving on the evening of October 8.  Transfer to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Oct 9

This morning we will take part in the Wednesday audience with Pope Francis (if available) and visit the major basilicas of Rome, Saint Mary Major and Saint Paul Outside the Wall.  Dinner and overnight   
Oct 10

Today we will visit Saint Peter’s Basilica the Spanish Square, Trevi Fountain, Panteon and Capitol Hill.  Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Oct 11

After breakfast we will travel to Saint Michael’s Cave where we will have Holy Mass.  After Mass we travel to San Giovanni to pray near the incorrupt body of Padre Pio.  Dinner and overnight.

Oct 12

Today we will travel to Lanciano to see the 8th Century Eucharistic Miracle.  After our visit to Lanciano we will travel to Manoppello where we will see the Veil of Veronica.  Next, we travel to Loreto.  Loreto is the site of the Holy House of Nazareth. Tradition has it that this is the house where Mary prayed the Magnificat, where Jesus grew to manhood, and the Holy Family dwelled.

Oct 13

This morning we travel to Assisi the home of Saint Francis.  After our visit we will travel to our hotel near the Rome airport.  Dinner and overnight.

Oct 14

Transfer to the airport, filled with cherished memories, for your return flight home.
