May 28

Depart from US for our flight to Munich, Germany.  Dinner and breakfast will be served on the flight

May 29  Upon arrival in Munich we will board the bus and travel to Altotting, Germany in the heart of Bavaria.  It is often called the “Lourdes of Germany” due to the thousands of pilgrims who come every year in search of healing thru the intercession of Our Lady of Altotting.  Dinner and overnight 
May 30

After breakfast, we will visit Marktl, Germany the birthplace of Pope Benedict XVI then continue our trip to Vienna, Austria arriving in the afternoon.  We will have a short visit to Kahlenberg Hill, a hill in the woods offering views of the entire city.  We will also visit St. Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna and the beautiful gardens of Schonbrunn.  After an Austrian dinner we will retire for the night.

May 31 Today we will visit the basilica and shrine of Our Lady of Mariazell located in the Austrian Alps.  After Holy Mass we will have time for lunch in the breathtaking scenery of the alps.  We will than continue to Graz, Austria for dinner and overnight.
June 1  After breakfast, we will leave for Milan, Italy where we will visit the magnificent Duomo Cathedral.  This cathedral is dedicated to Saint Mary of the Nativity and is the Mother Church of the Diocese.  Dinner and overnight   
June 2

 

This morning we will visit the Shroud of Turin, if it is on display for public exhibition.  Our next stop will be Oropa, Italy.  Oropa is in the Alps of Northern Italy, not far from Turin.  It is one of the oldest and most beautiful shrines in the world founded in 371 AD.  Dinner and overnight
June 3

 

Today we move on the Einsiedel, Switzerland to visit Switzerland’s greatest shrine, the abbey of Einsiedeln.  A million pilgrims journey here each year to see Our Lady of the Dark Forest: The Black Modonna of Einsieden.  Transfer to our hotel for dinner and overnight 
June 4

Today we will have the opportunity to see Neuschwanstein Castle, one of the castles of King Ludwig II of Bavaria.  He was known as the “Fairytale King” and the castle is said to be inspired by the Walt Disney Magic Kingdom Sleeping Beauty Castle.  After our visit we will continue our journey to Oberammergu for the highlight of our pilgrimage, the Passion Play.  Dinner and overnight 

June 5  Transfer to the airport, filled with cherished memories, for your return flight home.
